Dear friends,

After my first delivery I was very confused about drinking water. My mom and other old ladies told me not to drink more water (I was drinking hot water for 40 days) but my Dr. said I should drink more water as water clean my stomach and all the time I was so confused what to do??? Second time mom can tell me something about this and first time mom can ask to their mom or MIL and suggest me what to do??? You can tell me other precaution to take after delivery I would like to know your opinions.

Drinking lots of water is never a problem. It cleanses our body which is good for us only. And you should listen to the doctor because they know better and want us to feel better. sruthi replied. Yes Kavitha, in India the diet after delivery is with lots of ghee and all type of rich food. But if we follow that we gain a lot weight which is difficult to reduce so I feel plane and simple regular food is better as with baby in our hand our activities will be restricted and we will not able to move around so easily. I was working till my delivery last time and after delivery I was at home for 6 months and I gain a lot weight which I reduce with hard affords.(you know how our parents pamper us after delivery) I am not going to do same this time I will start working around at home as early as possible after delivery and will eat absolutely simple food. If you have any special diet idea, please tell me. Any suggestions from any body are welcome.

my mom adviced me to drink plenty of water than solid food after delivery as the digestive system still takes time to do its normal routine. also, frequent urination will help us to recover faster after delivery. take care,

I've no idea about drinking water.But after reading your question i was thinking about diet after delivery.What should be our diet after delivery ? I read in some sites that in india they follow diff diet and here it is diff. Is this true ?
