I have 3 months old baby gal. She has just gained 1lb in a month. She was only on breastmilk and I feel it may be less for her.I also feel my breast is not full for every feeding of hers(2.5hrs). Doc asked me to supplemet formula.Am worried bcoz I thought I cld feed her for 6 months atleast.Pls advice. Am broken heart now.

BTW, are you sure your milk supply has reduced? I ask because I used to worry about it too (I have a 7 month old). Then I read that engorgement, that feeling of fullness, leaking, etc. decrease as your breasts get used to it, but it does not mean that you're making less milk. Sure enough, though I am never engorged and hardly leak now (I don't even wear nursing pads to work), I can still pump the same amount of milk that I used to.
