My 14 weeks old daughter drinks only for five minutes at one breast per feeding. Sometimes she goes without eating for 3-4 hours. I am exclusively breastfeeding only. Sometimes its very hard to feed her. Even after long duration she doesn't want to drink. She doesn't cry also out of hunger. She puts her clothe and thumb inside. Whenever she does I try to feed but she refuses totally. Doing so she makes my nipple sore. Since she drinks from one breast only, my other breast become full. I don't have answers for you, but try not to worry if your little one has been gaining weight well. Is this something she started to do lately, or has she always been like this? Babies have phases. If you feel like something is really wrong call her doctor.

Sometimes I too used to feel like my daughter drank very little, and worry. She's seven months old, and I still worry sometimes! But she is healthy and active.
