Just wanted to share with u that my GD 1 Hr test results came out normal. I was so relieved !!
I had not been told to fast or take any precautions so I just had a light snack and went to the hosp in the evening. They gave me a glucose drink, which surprisingly was carbonated and tasted exactly like Gold Spot, to drink. They said that I had to drink it in 5 mins. After I was done with drinking, I was to come back in an hr so that some blood could be drawn. During the wait of 1 hr they asked me not to eat or drink anything(it was ok to drink water they said). The results came out the next day and they said that they are normal !
I was a little worried abt the results since I have put on link 21 lbs by now( I am in my 25th week).
For all u gals out there still to go for the test, all the best. And don't worry, everything will be just fine.

Congrats!

Great that you cleared the GD test M.. its one big load off the mind, isnt it? Mine is due this Wed, and I have been thinking about it all weekend. Hope all goes well!

though i reg. visit this site, this is my 1st query, would like to know more about \";GD\"; test becoz iam in my 28th week 'n' was not told abt \";GD\"; test by my doctor. is it a routine test pl. clarify

GD test is normally done between 24-28th week, here in USA.. I heard it is also done in Singapore.. Where are you from..? I am not sure if this test is done in India... So please check with your doc..

WOW!!!

Congrats M, its really good to know that u cleared ur GD test and that u didn't have to take any precautions too. This should surely help in relieving some stress about the test for rest of us, who still have to do it.

Congrats once again.

Thanks for the info on the testing process. My test is scheduled for the evening too and I was wondering about when/what I should eat.

I am tryin not to be too worried/stressed out about it cause my philosophy on that is that \";whatever happens happens\";.
