I was talking to my regular Dr. today and what she is saying is that the spotting I had on the 20th is not my regular period. She wanted me to start on Provera to get my period but then again she said if my period doesnt start in the next week to start taking the drug.
What do you think? Is there something wrong with me? Do you know why I spotted? Is the spotting related with something else?
I know it is a lot of ques...but plz answer me.

Provera is a good choice if that was a problem with your period. Spotting could be an abnormal period. The reduced menses could be due to some health disturbance in the cycle or some hormonal imbalance. But it's not absolutely fine to seat idle thinking that this was the case and would get better in coming cycle, in particular when you ttc. This is why your Dr. seems to put you on Provera.

Provera will induce period only if you are not pregnant. Using provera also if you don't have success and you are not pregnant (will be tested after provera treatment) then your Dr. would perform pelvic examination.

Spotting or reduced menses are of concern only when you ttc. Otherwise it's possible to have this situation due to many reasons. I hope your age is not in or near 40s.

Somegirls spot for a first trimester or throughout the pregnancy, right on the expected period date and that's rare yet possible. But blood analysis showed that you are not pregnant. Therefore I would insist on following your Drs. advise.

Not that you have some problem, but you do want to make sure that all is following as it should and that's the way it will make easier for you both while ttc.
