My two yearold daughter does not relish attending her play home. She cries a lot when i take her to her play home, but once i am out of sight she kind of adjusts. I am unable to decide if i should take her out or give her some more time to adjust?(She started only a month back).

Yes. My daughter too was crying in the inital days. But more than anything the teacher change the environment as close to the one at home which really really helped my kid to enjoy the period.

Hi Jayashree,
what your daughter is going through is called separation anxiety. The child feels anxious when he or she is separated from the person (mother) they love or feel secured. She needs time and lot of ressurance. It would be a nice idea to spend sometime with her in the school. Slowly withdraw yourself from the scene when she starts interacting with other children.
If she feels safe in the enviroment, she would start enjoying the paly school soon. But remember that each child is different, some take fewdays while others take a lot of time to adjust in the new environment.
good luck!!!

My 31/2yrs old son does the same thing. So I asked my husband to drop
him off at school. It works out quite well. I see him off at home
tell him that I'll be there to pick him up after school. Its working
quite well. Hope it helps.

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
