My son is 18 months old. He is going to the daycare from past 20 days. Still he is not playing with any toy in the daycare and not mingling with other kids.i am very much worried.we speak Tamil at home , but in Daycare everyone speak hindi. could anyone please suggest me what can i do to make my son to feel comfortable at daycare? pramil replied. hello sriram
there is language confusion in his mind, he may be confuse in Hindi and tamil language, he try to speak Tamil in daycare and other kids are not gave response to tamil language thats why he don't understand what to do now, and he doensn't speak much udantika replied. hello sriram
may be your boy is feel shy to talk with unknown people or other kids in daycare, this may be a reason, if he feel shy try to give comfortable zone to him after he will initiate to talk with them. janani replied. hello sriram,
in every children mind there is something going on, if he is not talking with anyone definitely in his mind something going on like he has confusion about language or he was a shy type boy. bhavika replied. hello sriram
some kids are introverted, and your son is one of them, when he adjust with the daycare surrounding that time may be he make good friends and play with them till then give him time. viraj replied. hello sriram,
as you mentioned your son is not mingling with other kids, may be there is some other issue to, try to speak with him at home like friend try to understand children cytology. megha replied. hello sriram,
sometimes and some kids are take time to adjust with enviornment and surrounding, so dont worry and dont feel bad about that, if you give him some time because he is just 18 month so give time to him. vaibhav replied. hello sriram,
i can understand your feelings towards your kid, in the daycare all kids are speak in hindi, but your kid try to communicate with them in tamil and other kids dont understand, so he may be mum. rachan replied. hello sriram
for your kid language is big problem, he dont understand in which language he will communicate with other people, he is confuse in his mind and thats why he is not mix up with other kids. rahul replied. hello sriram
yes some children take time to adjust with new friends, and in new atmosphere to, so give him his time, after some times, he mix up with surrounding and start mingling with friends. sachin replied. hello sriram,
dont worry about your child, some times some kids, are take time to adjust with other kids, so dont worry give him some time to adjsut with other kids, it will helpful for him. prerama replied. hello sriram,
the big issue of your kid is language, you spoke at tamil at home in daycare he used to listen in hindi, so may be because of confusion he is not clear in his mind, and keep mum. Ravina Singh replied. Don’t worry about your child. It will take some time for him to adjust with other kids. Make him to play with other kids near your home. Conduct some games along with other kids in weekends which will surely make him to understand Hindi and also help him to socialize with others. Don’t lose your hope! Good luck.
Deepak replied. Hi Sriram, you have not mentioned from which state you are. However I would recommend you to try Little Einsteins Preschool, which is spread across all over India. These schools give special attention to each child, and language will not be a problem as the teachers are good in English and will also be able to make your child comfortable, active and confident. I do understand your feeling, since I experienced your situation too. But now I am happy as I have got my child into Little Einsteins at Kolathur, a safe place and a second home for the child.
