Name: Very worried mom



Hi

My son is 11 months completed and weighs only 7 kgs. His birth weight was 3 kgs and its expected that babies triple their birth weight by the first birthday. We had his blood and urine tests done and everything was normal. He was tested for TB and Thyroid and it was ok. He eats ok and is very active. Has anyone been in the same situation?
I am worried sick. Please help!!

My son is nine months old.He has same problems like yours.His birth weight was 2.4 kgs and now he is 5.90 kgs.But he is really active,eats well,but doesn't drink milk.I was also worried abt his growth.But my ped said that his mental growth is good & physically he is fit.He is not suufering any kind of sickness.So u don't worry.your son is perfectly fine ,nothing wrong with him.

There may be absolutely nothing wrong with your baby. Take a look at your family - if they are on the smaller side, odds are that your baby will be too. I wouldn't worry too much; if he's eating, sleeping and active there's probably nothing to be concerned about. If there are other things that cause worry, then I would investigate further otherwise just relax - he'll catch up on his own time.
