The School has a responsibility to provide a safe environment for your child and the Manager is responsible for health and safety matters concerning the nursery premises. All staff are aware of potential hazards within the nursery and the surrounding environment and actively protect children from hazards. We aim to provide all staff with first aid training. All accidents and any incidents are recorded in the Accident Report Book. All accidents are accurately notified to the parent/carer as soon as possible. Hygiene rules relating to bodily fluids are followed with particular care and all staff are aware of how infections can be transmitted. gogo replied. The government encourages parents to send their children to nursery school from aged 4 onwards to prepare them for primary school but there are early years day care available from as early as one year old. This not only prepares them academically but gets them used to being with other children their own age and being at school during the day as they could get very tired at first school.

Previously nursery schools were named play schools, pre-school or play group and just about anyone could run them to earn additional income but of course in these modern times all schools need to be run and managed by qualified adults and teach children more than just \" play\" .

The Nursery is safe and clean.
All equipment is safe and in good order and where appropriate will conform to British Standards.
Employees have healthy working conditions, including heating, adequate clean toilet facilities, staff room/rest area with tea/coffee making facilities and toilet facility.
Training will be provided to ensure that all staff are aware of the health and safety policy and understand its importance.
Risk assessments will be carried out before playing in the gardens and upstairs soft play areas.
A minimum of two qualified First Aiders will be present in the Nursery and appropriate first aid arrangements will be provided.
Employees will also have a responsibility to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and of the children in their care.
