Waiting to try:A Question
2004-04-26
Name: DD

Iam 25 years old..
We are planning to try for a baby(will be our first child).Have been married for 1 year now.

I have regular periods, 28-30 day cycle but the flow has reduced quiet drastically in the past 2 years.

I used to have 3-4 days of menstrual flow now it's only for 1-1.5 days.

Iam really worried

Pls advise if this will affect my chances of getting pregnant.

And also if some knows what is amenorrhoea???

Dear DD.,

Some girls can experience slight change in their flow for a month or a few months after they get married (getting sexually active) and is perfectly normal.
In your case your flow has altered before marriage.
And if you want you can give a call to your care provider and get his/her inputs on this issue.
I have never heard as to flow will affect the fertility.

I would suggest not to worry and go ahead to give a try. You can plan intercourse from CD12-CD13, once a each night or if you choose to be active from begining of cycle then once a two days would help.

What's important to get pregnant is your ovulation and some hormones helping implantation of fertilized embryo.
Also a positive attitude is must while ttc as tension or stress would have immense impact on delaying ovulation and changing levels of essential hormones.

Should you want you can opt for use of Ovulation Prediction Kit (OPK), sleep only when you get test positive.

Should you need some help, don't hesitate, will be happy to help you.

Good luck
Archie

Dear DD
Go ahead and give a trial as suggested.

It may not mean anything (consistancy of menses). The best is your gynecologist.

As said in earlier message, do not analyse anything, this will stress you out, bad while ttc.
