I was having a lot of prob putting my angel to rest & sleep after meals.....I have a cd which i was listening since i was pregnant .....

baby genius (sing along series), Favourite nursery rhymes which has worked wonders. She really loves it & i myself also can sing along as all the rhymes r easyones & simple tones like jack N jill, baba baba black sheep, Humpty Dumpty rain rain go away...... all that i learnt in my school times.

Believe me, she has just completed 3 weeks & i dont know yet how much she enjoys the music or whether she gets bored but she sleeps within the first 3 or 4 rhymes.

Hope it helps someone else also......

Subject:  Music - is it a solution to try even after birth

Dear moms,

It is too late to start using the music formulae once the child is born. I have a 3 week old daughter who does not sleep at night and I find it very difficult to work 7 hours the next day. My wife has to sleep during the day in between feeds. It feel like days are 24 hours long to us.

dear niki,
you are right.
music does wonders. pre-natal experiences do play an important role in development of psyche of the child. first 4 years are very-very imp, though we generally discount that. the values, attitudes are created in this period only. all the best

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
