Stretching pain occurs whenever i bend over or stand up or get up from bed. Sometimes its so painful that i have to lay down a while before i do something. I do go for a walk every day and sometimes its difficult to do due to the stretching pain.

We lived in Nagpur for a while. Now I am in u.s,Chicago. This is my first pregnacy and due is nov 18th.

Hello Sakhi and Padmaja,

Thanks for the reply. Do you guys mind me coming in to the october due date club? Actually,my E.D.D is in Nov 15th and there are not so much people in nov due date club to answer my questions. We are planning to attend the classes during august or september.

Do you guys feel pain like stretching in the lower abdomen? Mine is getting worse every day and my doctor suggested to go for physical therapy. They also provide belt to wear it to lessen this pain. This is my first pregnacy. So i don't know if this is normal.

Guys, Where are you originaly from in India? I am basically from kerala.
Padmaja, where are you in U.S? We are in Chicago. Thanks!

Mekha

Hi,
I think it will really help you to understand what will be happening hext. Some people say, in the labor room you forget all that u learnt in these classes. But I personally think it will help you a lot mentally as well they will teach you breathing and all. If they allow and your husband is planning to come with you in labor room, it is best to take him as well along with you for the classes. I will be taking these classes along with my husband and fortunately for me in Hong Kong these are free :) Best of luck.

I replied to earlier post and was thinking of telling about insurance too but...
Most of the insurance companies in USA don't cover child birth classes and usually the range is between $150-200. I guess it is worth it since we will know breathing techniques, nursing tips and stuff one would not know unless they had a child before also we will get to meet and exchange views with other parents!
