Dear ALl,
I am new to this group and shortly will be moving to Pune from California. I have a 4 year old son whom am planning to put in a international pre- school. Any recommendations from parents would be greatly appreciated. Also would invite any suggestions or inputs to share if there are any age specific restrictions for pre-schools here. My son will be turning 4 in April 2012. Please share any suggestions on good pre-schools i should consider.

Well, I don’t know of any pre school in Kalyani Nagar you can search online. But I know about The Orbis School which is a good school located in Mundhwa. Its near to Kalyani Nagar and you can consider it since it also caters to international students and are well aware of needs of international students. You can contact them through their website.

Try googling these schools. There are many websites that also offer suggestions. I came across a website i dont remember. Its from madhuri singh whose provides advice on schools in Pune. Try visiting her blog.

Hi Nitasha,
I would say the appropriate age for a preschool is 2.5 to 3.5 years in Indian preschools. But you can still enquire and visit a few preschools for more information. At the age of 4 a child should be going to LKG or you can say junior kg. At the same time i feel preschool is a must before formal schooling. Eurokids is an international preschool and i feel exactly what you are looking for. My child has had the most amazing time during her preschool days. But regarding the age you will have to get in touch with them directly and get the details.
