We got our court order yesterday! Yaay! We are proud legal parents now. I will never complain about the Indian system after today. :)

Yes, we did register the court order in the local jurisdiction and the DEED OF ADOPTION was issued on the same day. But the BC came to us along with the court order.

A copy of the deed of adoption was required by our agency to process our daughter's passport application.

Court Order

Did you get the court order registered? Our lawyer says that is the final stage in the process. Have to do it within one month of recieving the court order. We are going tommorrow.
Another thing, I thought the cort order was everything, tuirns out that the courts provide a birth certificate too! The lawyer says I'll get it with a month. What about you, did you get yur daughters BC?
