While it is a practice to equate children with God, there is often an undiscovered bleak side to every child's personality. Children have inborn seeds of the good and the bad. And it is the duty of the parents, first to understand the child's mental make-up and then to channelise him/her in the right direction.

A child can be ungrateful:

A small girl lost a coin and started crying inconsolably. Taking pity on her, a passerby opened his purse and gave her his coin. Taking his coin in her custody, the child immediately uttered, ``So, you were the one who stole my coin. And now you are returning the same to me. This statement left the gentleman shocked for life. This story teaches parents to inculcate the values of gratitude in their children.

Sometimes it really becomes to identify whether the child is innocent or not.

Somtimes parents tend to get carried away by the child's innocent and mischievious smile after he creates a mischief and we forget to punish the child after seeing his innocent smile. But I think this is a very wrong attitude on the parent's part!
