Hi Everyone

I am 7 weeks along and am battling severe morning sickness - I have to throw-up 2-3 times a day and to make matters worse have developed fairly strong acidity. I find myself needing to lie down most of the day. I was wondering if anyone else is having similar symptoms at this stage and what you are doing to ease the symptoms.

hi vidya..

i am dealing with mild nausea but not vomiting.. a friend of mine had the same symptoms as u describe.. throughout the day.. she said she was pretty miserable during the time.. avoid aggravating your condition further by not having lemon or orange juice at the moment.. u can get ur vitamin c in the 2nd trimester.. also, are u on prenatal vitamins? coz my doc told me not to take any till the 2nd trimester coz they would make me more pukey.. ask ur doc and then decide with her if u need to stop the prenatal vitamins temporarily..

walking and deep breathing will help reduce acidity and also have cool milk and bananas to reduce the acidity.. ask your doc if gelusil/digene equivalent in the US is ok for you to take..

Thanks Riya. You´ re right, its really miserable and I wish I was able to enjoy my pregnancy more. Anyway, taking it one day at a time. Thanks again
