i'm in the third month too and had spotting that lasted for around 2 weeks or more in the first month. i wouldnt spot everyday, but once in a few days... it was all perfectly normal. the ultrasound said everything was fine.. and now the spotting has stopped... some women spot throughout thier pregnancy around the time they are expecting thier period. as long as there's no pain, there's little to worry about - esp since your ultrasound is normal.

Its not abnormal to have some spotting in early pregnancy provided u dont have symptoms like abdominal cramps. If ur USG is normal then u just have to keep ur eyes open and take things easy

i actually spotted and more durring my last 3 pregnancies you might want to check with your doctor to see if you are RH- thats the reason i bleed and could be the cause for your spotting as well , its really not a bid deal as long as you get your shot( if you are rh-) but you'll want to have it by 28 weeks. good luck... and dont be alarmed

Dear Maria,
This is normal, many time placenta is low lying in the first trimester and overwork can lead to minor bleeding or spotting. Spotting can also be due to growing uterus as it will make some old lining to shed off.

With bed rest and careful work (not to exert yourself) this is possible to control without any medical help.

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
