Name: rita Hi Archie n all,
I have 2n half year old girl and we want our second baby.We want a boy this time so i want to get some information from you.I have normally 30-35 days cycle but from last 3 months it is irregular means in Dec it was on 16th but i didn't get my periods in Jan. In feb i got it on 7th and in march it was on 16th.nowadays i'm having some mucus(white discharge) from vagina, is it my ovilation period? when should we have intercourse now ? I want to concieve with a baby boy.Can i predict my ovalution peroid without OPK?? What else i can do for that... please help me...

It's very difficult to tell

Dear Rita,

All you can try is to boost chances. It's fair to avoid sex until ovulation. If you are not sure about ovulation happening at this moment then avoid intercourse. Try in next cycle.

The more close to ovulation intercourse chances for boy are increased and more the earlier intercourse chances are for girl.

Believe it's only chances no method is 100% sure.

Reading of suggested book would help you a lot than me commenting (would be direct than hearing from another person).

Ovulation presumably takes place some hours after you start producing EWCM (Egg White Cervical Mucus). This is stringy clear mucus. If you are referring this one when you tell yours then you are about to or just ovulating.

If the mucus is cloudy white then either you are already passed or way early for your ovualtion to occur.

Should you not be sure in this cycle, go by OPK and avoid eating sour, high carbohydrate diet in the next cycle.

Again, NO ONE can 100% tell you that you will have boy, so think a lot before taking anyones advice.

Choosing sex is dependent on many factors, of them a few are in human controllable (time and amount of healthy sperms)and others are quite difficult to control (Physiological and vaginal environment).

OPK is good

Hi Rita,
Go ahead with OPK and have intercourse 12-24 prior to predicted ovulation and around ovulation. Do not have intercourse before you see OPK positive.

Periods have to be regular, easy when they are regular.
