a short cervix..? I do not want anyone of you to have it but if you do, can you please share some info with me..

My cervix measuring about 2.8 cm in my 20 th week u/s and about 2.5 cm in 24 th week u/s. I am a little bit worried about PTL. My Dr has not put me on restricted activity but she may after the next u/s for my cervix assessment.. :-( I am being pro-active about the bed rest. I do not walk around much in office and I lie down most of the time when I am at home..

Please let me know if you have more info (especially positive news :-) )... I have been getting a lot of information on web but nothing looks as positive as I want it to be..

PS: this is the reason why I am waiting for November so anxiously.. As always, I wish I fell asleep and woke up in November...

I don't know much about how much cervix should measure normally, so I don't know what can I tell u both to make u feel better. All I can say is just listen to ur doc's advice and take proper rest. don't exert urself too much and don't worry at all. Everything will be just fine. We all pray for, everything to go well. Our best wishes are with u.

Reva replied. Iam also diagnosed with short cervix.They took a level 2USG during my first trimester itself.I underwent a lot of mental stress knowing that.But unless it shortens further,the doc said that wont be a problem.It is advisable to take control of ur activities much even if the drs. does nt say so which i'm doing,just to be on the safer side.But for me they said it is not progressing(touch wood).My prayers and well wishes for u too.
