Hetal replied. yup thats is great to give.
if your son can sit, and now that he wants to stand, start making him stand prob he is getting ready for it.just make sure that he is not feeling comfortable on tummy or back..rest all is great !
good luck
Nidhi replied. hi Hetal ,
Thanks for the reply , actually my son he can sit with my support , but he dnt like to sit , always want to stand .. he can roll over both side now , im gng to start giving cereal this week , can i give him vegetable soup / chicken soup ..
nisha replied. hi, my son was same.at 6 months he didnt sit with my help. my dr recommended calcium drops for him. after a month, he was able to sit.
so please check with your dr. your son might not be able to sit on his own by 6 months, but if he is not able to sit with your help too,,probably he needs a little lift with some suppliments.
Hetal replied. If your baby isn't able to hold his head up steadily by the time he's about 6 months old and hasn't started learning to prop himself up on his arms, bring it up the next time you talk to his doctor.
Babies develop skills differently, some more quickly than others, but head control is essential to sitting independently, and sitting is the key to crawling, standing, and learning to walk. Keep in mind that premature babies may reach this and other milestones later than their peers.
you mentioned he dont want to sit, does it mean that he was sitting before and now doesnt want to sit or have not started sitting with your help ?
please check with your dr and talk about it if by 6 months, your baby cannot sit with help !
however there are no specific guidelines or milestones but there are specific warning signs on baby physical development. trust your instincts. If something seems odd or wrong to you about the way your baby moves or behaves, ask about it to your dr. After all, you know your child best !
Good Luck & take care
Regards
Hetal
Sheetal replied. dont worry your baby is still, very small and dont force him to do anything he will do on its own. You just give him good massage everyday which will help his bones to grow stronger. There is no hard and fast rule that since he is 6month he shud sit. Let him take is his own time and you enjoy watching him grow. dont think much your baby is perfect and ok.
Take care
