Health Concerns:home pregnancy test

Name: Mama I am 6 days away from my periods can i do the home test now or not. The package that i can test 4 days before the periods is due but i just can't hold my patience. I am having pain in my stomach and my back which i never have, really want to know can i test now or not. And if i get negative will that be true.

Your were right the test did come negative now but i still have theses back pains and cramps in my stomach but it usually happens in the evening. I never had any PMS symptoms. Yes I am ttc and hope it comes postive next time when i test after missing my periods (if that happens). Will keep you posted what happens.

Dear Mama,

It's not surprising that you would hit negative test prior to experience missing period. These early detection test are sometime increasing on expenses and also adds to confusion.

I would ask you to relax until you are due for period. Remember when you are stressed your period can appear late and this also can add to your confusion.

If you relax and don't experience period, use EPT test with your First Morning Urine. If the test is negative, don't get disappointed repeat after two days (48 hours later), again as you did first time. Should you not experience period and negative test still, then you should ask your Dr. to order blood beta-hCG or investigate some cause of delay.

I shall be glad to help you either making suggestions on pregnancy or to conceive.

Hang in, although difficult

Dear Mama,

While ttc you can feel some symptoms never before, just because you pay a lot of attention to them. PMS and Pregnancy symptoms go parallel and thus almost impossible to differentiate until you miss period.

The tests said sensitive have their lower limit hCG detection and hCG synthesis is an individual aspect. You can test and if you get positive, congratulation but negative does not mean you are not pregnant. I therefore would advice to hang in there for another six days and tell us what other symptoms you face while this waiting game.

Otherwise you are free to test with your first morning urine.
