We may not want to, but we do make life difficult for our school going children. Many times we unknowingly hurt our kids. We compare them to others and also sometimes teach something that is not right. We take away their self-control when we tell then to hit back when somebody hurts them. We as parents should be more careful of what we say. We should act before it is too late. Comparing performance in exams is a sure shot self-esteem damager. Instead compare with own past performance. Pragyavati replied. i am a very social person. i love making friends, going out and even organising get togethers but my kids are opposite. They are shy and do not like mixing up. They do not take initiative in making friends and never even go out to play. when i was of their age, i had many friends and still i do have but i am worried about their future. without active social life, living alone would be very difficult. Please help
