Hi,
We live in USA.We are married since 9 years and we r trying since then,but i did'nt concieve.2 years back when we went to doctor we came to know that my fsh is high i.e around 23 and 29.so what the doctor said is the only option i have is with donor egg.i cannot have children with my own eggs.since the treatment is so expensive and its hard to find indian egg donor in Usa.so we went to india and took ivf with donor egg,but it was unsuccessful.since then iam so depressed.and this year in USA we went to another doctor here she asked me to go for the FSH tests,becoz it fluctuates everytime and if it comes under 19 then we can go for IUI.i went to blood test and my FSH came back normal and it was 6,but it was too late to start the treatment when we got the results from lab.so the doctor said we will do the test again next month.so she did the test again for the next month and it came to 10.i was so happy.and she started the treatment IUI and it was unsuccedssful.and then she did the blood test again and it came 12,and then again she started the IUI but it was again unsuccessful.then she said the reason iam not successful is becoz of my elevated FSH in the past.soi cannot concieve with my own eggs i have to go with donor egg.so can anybody please tell me if they had a situation like this and what should i do.i don't have patience and iam so depressed.But its my luck that my husband is very suppportive and he is so nice to me.I feel very bad that iam unable to give him a child.Please somebody reply me.

I am in a similar position as you are. I tried one cycle with donor eggs too but it did not work out. I am trying to come to terms with the situation and adopt a child. I am sure I will be a good mother because I realise the value of having a child.

The only problem we have is our family has no clue about our problem. We both are handling the issue ourselves. We are not sure we want to tell the relatives and face a whole bunch of questions and have them taunt us for waiting 9 years before trying. We had our reasons to wait. We are looking for options so we can adopt anonymously without telling our family. Some of our friends suggest adopting a hispanic child, but we are not sure about this. Still looking for options. Please don't feel depressed......I am in the same boat as you except that initially I had FSH of 10.4 which is elevated and then went to 22.6.....had undergone 2 IVFs....the 2nd resulting in positive beta but m/c at 6 weeks. I found that even with high FSH many women have had successful pregnancy with their own eggs. Even I got donor eggs speech but I won't go that route at all till I am convinced beyond the doubt that I can never have....

The high FSH forum which is www dot network54 dot com/Forum/209394 is great and I visit there everyday and you will find that there are so many pregnant despite high FSH. The key is to find a high FSH friendly RE......which are just a handful of those in USA.

Right now after a gap of one year my FSH suddenly came down to 8.4 which is very good and I have started Acupuncture with chinese herbs etc.....I am going to try that for a couple of months....My accup specializes in infertility.

Don't feel depressed and I agree about husbands being supportive....mine is too and without him I could not go thro' all this.
