Hey Vertika,
The main reason for swelling in any part of the body is due to excess salt consumption.Salt encourages retension of water in the body and since the body retains extra water in pregnancy, swelling is possible. So for this you' ve to reduce salt intake.Avoid pickles and foods with high concentration of salt.Avoid standing for a long time.Sit whenever possible and if possible, put your feet up on a stool.

hi vertika,

what u mentioned is common but ask ur doc about the swelling on ur face. Did u check ur blood pressure? Even i have pain only in my fingers from the past few days.
Drink lotsa water thru out the day to bring down the swelling n move around every few hours while working.
all the best n take care...

Hey dear, am going through the same from the beginning of my pregnancy... Now am 33 weeks and 6 days... This condition is called Carpel Tunnel Syndrome... Very common in people who type a lot and also in obese people and more common in Pregnancy... You may wanna read stuff on Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in google... You will get a lot of material to study on...

I dont sleep coz of it and cry for 1 to 2 hours in between... A heating pad helps me for some time and then I sleep off... Again it starts hurting when I wake up to pee which has become an EVERY ONE HOUR thingy for me every night...

Hope I helped...
