Hi,
Can anyone let me know good schools near to Electronics city or HSR Lyout,banglore.Also i have a very important qustion -whether CBSE or ICSE is best.My kid will turn 3 years in July 28th,2011.Some schools say that he will not be eligible for Pre KG as he will not complete 3 years in June.Is it same in all schools.I want to join him next year itself and not waste a year for just 2 months.

I heard Sorsfort School is coming up with an international standard school at electronic city, u can try that.

Also heard that Mr. Akash David Ryall, Director Principal, Bethany High School and Dr. Vasantha Edward from Baldwin Girls High School is a part of SorsFort International School.

Hi Archana,
my son is also completing 3 yrs exactly on 28 july 2011 . so far we have searched some schools in HSR layout : Stepping Stones,Lawrence school, Golden arch n SVR school. Out of this schools we liked Steeping stones very much but our search is still on....pls let us know if u find other good school.

Hi Archana,
Yes we are in B' lore. My daughter is going to Greenwood Pre-school. Playschool type school or regular school depends on what school you want to send your son to. If you are looking for old style schools like Baldwin' s, Bishop Cotton' s, Bethany, etc. then you will have to take admission right from playschool stage because they generally don' t give admissions later unless there is a seat available. The newer schools it is easier getting admissions. A lot of the good and newer ICSE schools are on Sarjapur Road.

hi Archana,
I am not sure about CBSE or ICSE, but i have been told that ICSE is tougher than CBSE. As far as the age lomit is concerned your child should be 2 years and 10 months by 1st June to take admission in pre-kg. My daughters b' day is 7th Aug and I was told by some parents that she will have to repeat a year and has to be 6 before 1st june to get admission to 1st grade but then I checked with the schools and they were quite ok as long as the child' s b' day is before 1st Sept.

Thanks Rachna for the info.Are u in bangalore.where is your daughter studying?Do you think sending kids to playschool sort of schools till UKG and then joining them in proper school from 1std or sending them to proper school right from pre kg is best?
