Hi Amrita,

I too have a low lying placenta due to which i have been restricted to travel and hve been suggested to rest....my doc diagonosed it whn i was 12 weeks n 1 day pregnant but by the 18th week it had improved...i m hoping for the best tht it does improve....well i have been referring a book for my pregnancy,it clearly mentions tht if you hve low lying placenta till the final day..it has to be caesarean....

Hi Amirta,
Don' t Worry. In my 18th week Ultrasound dr told me that i am having marginal previa. So she told to take another US in 20th week.
U know the happy news in next US the placenta has moved up.And now no marginal previa. Everything is normal now.
So don' t worry.Take rest as much as possible. In 3 or 4 weeks the placenta will move up surely, as uterus expands, till then take rest.

Take Care.

With luv,
Sweety

Hi Amrita,
Welcome to this group .. I think placenta lying low is very common.. i guess Sweety from Sep group also had something called marginal previa.. but my dr says as you go into your pregnancy, placneta will move upwards... Imagine the uterus to be like balloon, as it grows bigger the placenta moves upwards..(this comparison was given by my dr)

So be happy and nothing to worry.. BTW when is your EDD?

Cheers,
Rose
