Waiting to try:For Rachel and Mini

Hi you both, Rachel and Mini,

Do not worry for some semen oozing. If you have orgasm while intercourse there will be more leakage no matter how long you lie down in bed after you are done.

As said by Smile, sperms will find their way to Fallopian tube and you only need one mature sperm to fertilize egg. Whatever amount of sperms may be lost in leaking semen or your cum (liquid you release from orgasm) will not matter so much.

Just try not to bed each a day. Bed around ovulation is the best. If you abstain from bed until this period your husband will have developed many more mature sperm. Frequent bed in average to low sperm count guys can limit number or sperms and of course many of them will be immature. Do not forget sperms contribute at least 50% work while you try to get pregnant.

Mini, ovulation prediction kits cost anywhere around $25. Oops I don't know if you are in USA. If you find one cheaper you can use but can't guarantee their precision. Usually OPK comes as 5-10 tests and sometime a free pregnancy test. Just I was in Pharmacy yesterday and came across beautiful package that is 5 OP tests and one free pregnancy test. Considering need $25 or $30 is not hugh expense.

Do not test in first 10 days of your cycle (for cycle 28-29 days). If you are having cycles of 30 days then start testing from CD 13, during day time say 2 pm. Never take Ovulation test from first morning Urine. The day you get positive test, from that time wait for 12-24 hours and then bed on that day and next day. These are the only two days you need to consider as your best fertile day.

Ever you need help write to me I will be more than glad to help.

Good luck while ttc.
Archie

Hi Mini
If u are having regular period, then dont worry.. SOme times ovulation delays bcoz of some stress also.. SO once in a while if u get ur period late that's is quite normal..May be u have ovulated late that's why u might have got 15 days late..Best thing is to check whether u have ovulated or not is by taking Basal body temp.. From that u can get to know what is ur normal luteal phase.. So some times late ovulation happens also u can get to know when u get ur period by adding luteal phase lenght.. THen it makes easy to test for pregnency also if u dont get ur period after ur normal luteal phase..

Hi Archie,
Thanx a lot for answering my query and giving me this important info.U r doing a really gr8 job on this board by answering the queries of many women who r having problems, with utmost sincerity.Ur effort to help out is commendable.
I stay in the US and will get the OPK in a day or two.
I have one more question.Last month my periods got delayed by 15days.I have a pretty regular cycle of 27-28days.I was just going to do the pregnancy test on the 16th day and my periods arrived on the 15th delayed day.The periods were just a little bit heavier than my usual peroids and the bleeding was not very alarming so I am a bit confused.Could this have been a miscarriage? This month I had my periods within 25days itself.I don't know whats wrong.

Hi Mini,
While trying to conceive (ttc) getting worried is very normal. In fact you pay more attention on your cycle during ttc and cause some stress. The stress and hormones work exactly in opposite manner, more the stress awfully bad the hormone function. Ovulation and whole pregnancy thing is hormonal. Therefore Relaxing and treating normal is the key component while ttc.

Your 15 days delay might have been due to delayed ovulation (As said by Sachi) or second possibility is of miscarriage. But Mini, unless you have had an idea that you were pregnant you should not think that you really had miscarriage. Treat last period as delayed ovulation.

Periods and pregnancy in one person can be so different. Every period is different so disregard the flow intensity, most of the time it means nothing.

Since you have cycles of 27-28 days I would start testing Ovulation from day 10. Make sure you do not stress yourself. If possible do not bed before you find ovulation test positive.

I will keep looking for your message. Tell me when you got your OP test positive.
About diet, do not eat sour things or fruits. Sour food will creat acidic pH in your vagina and can kill sperms efficiently. Your husband can eat berries, yogurt, and freshly cooked food.

Hope this is the month of your success.

Good luck
Archie
