Hi .... i am 24 and married for the past 6 months.....i am with my hubby in U.S.....and we wil b returning to india in one yr......my problem is that on returning i want my in-laws to b with me... and i dont want to stay with them.. they habe a flat in india so my husband plans to stay there....but i want to buy a flat and stay with my husband....if my in-laws want they can stay with us...i want to buy it with our money as we both earn....but it shud b in my house...how can i tel my husband this? i dont want to hurt anyone...as my in laws r nice ppl...and my hubby is also undrstanding manisha replied. Every wife has got certain dreams before marriage. But there are certain realities which we have to cope with after marriage. I personally feel that you will have to wait for your dreams to come true patiently. It would not be nice to demand a new home after just an year of marriage. Let some time go, assure your husband that you are a good dil and wife and love your family members very much. You can take up this topic with him casually , asking for his opinion about buying a house of your own. Also dont think so much ahead. When you go back to India, you might have to stay in another city due to work reasons and may then get an opportunity to buy your own home. Let things fall in place on their own . Dont worry. not important replied. I understand you want to live in your own house which is a perfectly normal desire for some one who earns or (not earns) .Since the inlaws are nice people, give it some time. take it freely & do not pressurize your hubby ..It will happen on it' s own!. Relax there are more important things in life as it comes.Goodluck to you.
