Hi
I want to make plain cake n chocolate cake.Could any one give me the recipe of these cakes n icing for them.

Subject:  Plain Cake with Vanilla Frosting



Plain Cake Recipe 2 ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup shortening
1 teaspoon flavoring extract
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
instructions
To prepare this Plain Cake Recipe 2, first cream shortening and add sugar, mixing well. Add egg and beat well, then flavoring extract. Add to the mixture a little at a time and alternately first the flour sifted with salt and baking powder, then the milk. Bake in a greased cake tin in moderate oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

Vanilla Frosting
EASY VANILLA FROSTING

1/3 c. soft butter
3 c. confectioners' sugar (the regular sugar mixed with cornstarch, white powdery)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
About 2 tbsp. milk

Blend butter and sugar. Stir in vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.

1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup boiling water
1/3 cup applesauce
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Frosting, recipe follows

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line an 8-inch cake pan with a circle of parchment paper cut to fit the bottom of the pan. Set pan aside.

In a large bowl, mix baking soda, sugar, flour, and salt. Dissolve cocoa powder in hot water and then add to dry ingredients. Stir in applesauce, egg, and vanilla. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool cake completely on a cooling rack before frosting with chocolate frosting.


Chocolate Frosting:
8 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons skim milk

In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add sugar and beat until incorporated. Add cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla and beat until blended. If the frosting is too thick to spread, add the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, with the mixer on low, until spreading consistency is achieved.
