HI, MY BABY IS 2YRS + NOW. HES NOT BEEN GIVEN THE HABIT OF MILK BOTTLES, N HAS NEVER TAKEN, HE SLEEPS ONLY WHEN I BREAST FEED HIM, BUT THIS HAS BECOME A PROBLEM NOW, SINCE, NOW I WANT TO DISCONTINUE IT, ITS DIFFICULT BECOS WHEN I TRY TO MAKE HIM SLEEP THRU TELLING STORIES OR DIVERTING HIS MIND, HE CRIES FOR BREASST FEEDING, WHAT SHUD I DO ? PLS ADVICE. momy replied. The best is do not sleep with baby for 1 week. Sleep in another room. Do not go to to check/ see if baby is okay. They can smell mothers from 20-25 feet. Its hard but worth it. Let somebody else father or grandma make the baby sleep,by rocking etc. If he get hungry give him a bottle of milk. If he doesnt take just give sip of water. Soon he will come off his habit of breastfeeding.

mine 18 mths daughter was also not given habit of bottle.she also used to sleep by having breastfeed.now i had stopped completely.first i left her afternoon feed and later her night feed.

for afternoon feed she use to scream like hell but i slept beside her uspide down n let her cry. she dint slept for 2-3 days in afternoon.but in 4th day she slept automatically by patting her abit.

just from last week i stopped her night feed also.she also screaming at night but i dont give her at all. let her cry.her dad pat her abit n she sleeps now.

just try dear dont give up.these kids r too smart.they know if they scream we will give them.
