Hi, is anybody getting lower abdominal pain when you get up after sitting for a while. Whenever I get up from chair I get lower abdominal pain and feel stiff when I start walking. It lessens after 6-7 steps. Is anybody facing same thing or have an idea whether this is normal?

Yes Vidhi, few more weeks. By the way, after I started using 1 pillow between legs,1 pillow for left side(doc advised me to sleep on my left side, as it gives more blood cerculation to baby) and one pillow to elivate my legs. After using 3 pillows (or you can use one mertinity pillow which goes around you) I feel lot better to get up from bed.

God bless all our babies.

Me too feeling the same pain and it is more when I get up from sitting as well as from the bed to pee... It is normal and common too... We have a lot of pressure on our lower abdomen after 30 weeks... Don' t worry, the tightening is BH contractions... Just chill ok...

Take care and try to get up slowly rather than hastily... That could help a bit...

I am also having samething. After sitting long time, while getting up from chair is a problem. And while sleeping chaning my position is a big deal for me too. Especially when I have to go to rest room at middle of the night, its taking 3 mins to get out of my bed.

Any way I just called my doc to check on this. And I talked to my nurse, she said its normal as baby grows big. The nurves in lower abdomen get more presure. And she advised me to not to walk these days, and take easy on house work. Elivate legs while sitting and use pillows to elivate legs while sleeping. Also she advised me to sleep on my left side. Ofcourse we need to drink plenty of water.

I am in my 31st week.
Just 4 more weeks and will be able to complete atleast 34 weeks, then not to worry much.

Keep in touch

Anita

Hi,
Can you please tell me if you had a normal delivery.
I have heard that most big hospitals have a very low percentage of normal deliveries and most deliveries are c-section... - toto [View Message]
