Due Date Club December 2006:Shopping for the baby?

Name: Leo Dear Girls,

Now that most of us (atleast who r in US) know the sex of the baby, when have u planned to do all the shopping? Other than clothes, diapers, receiving blankets etc things like car seat, crib should be bought before the baby arrives; so when do u people plan to start shopping for the baby?

Hello Leo,

ya sept-oct months sounds good for shopping. Even i am planning in these months. Even my cousins are suggesting me not to pospone shopping to later months. I am planning to pick up the item if I like it from now on when I go to mall or stores.

Even I heard from some that we shouldn't buy any thing for the baby before he/she 's born. But I am not going to really bother these superstitions. December will be really really cold to go for shopping and that too with a new born baby...it is impossible. So I am going to shop well in advance.

Everything else is fine. My little one became active since 2 weeks and I am enjoying!! Hope the same from you :)

my friends who ahve had kids are advising us to not postpone the shopping till the last month since we will be really bulky and tired by then ...

so i am planning to buy things like car seat, crib maybe in sept - oct time frame ..as for clothes ...that i am not sure .... i am so much inclined to buy them whenver i go to stores but my mom is insisting i should not buy clothes so early :( ..so not sure abt that ... how abt you ??

well as i told u that i m flying to india and u may know that in india v dnt need such alot of things like crib and all... but i hv started buying cloths from now... whenever i go to malls or shops, whatever looks cute and v like v bauy...so its all going on side by side... well how is ur baby doing... when u r planning to do shopping and well where r u in USA.i m in south us... Texas...well take care
