Hi
I am a mommy of an 8.5 month old baby. He has suddenly stopped nursing and won't even drink the breast milk if I express it n put it into a bottle. So am giving him other milk in a bottle which he is taking very happily.
My problem ?????
My breats are getting full and really really PAINFUL.... please let me know how long it'll take for the generation of milk to stop. He is an active child and whenever I carry him it's agony. I don't wanna keep expressing as that will continue to generate milk...
PLEASE HELP !!!!

When I stopped breastfeeding, I did it gradually. I would express just a small amount at a time - enough to eliminate the pain. After a few days, your body will adjust. Some people suggest putting cold cabbage leaves against your breasts - I didn't try this, but a lot of people say it eases the pain. My breasts reduced the production of milk within a week.

hi mommy,

when my daughter turned 1 her paediatrician suggested that incase if i ever wanted to stop feeding her i can get some tablets frm my gynaec.on her advice i got the tablets but didn't use them as the generation of milk stopped gradually.so u can also turn to ur gyn.

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.

It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
