Can any one tell me how feasible to send 6 months infant in Day Care center.
Is any one sending their 6 months baby to Day Care Center.

Hi Vaishnavi,

I have left my 7th month baby to day care as I had taken 6 months maternity leave. Now he is 2yres and continuing there itself.

First of all you need to check the kind of person who will take care the baby. She should be children loving and should have lot of patience. I think this you can make out the way she behaves with other kids and how comfortable kids already are at her place.

I saw 3 day cares, one lady was gentle and I felt OK but the place was not hygenic for small kid. Another lady, I saw kids sitting in floor and watching TV (This itself show how she might have kept the kids). This lady is comparitevley OK where I am leaving my kid, but she takes frequent leaves.

Getting good babysitter now a days is also very difficult, if you are lucky you may get one. Hope for the best always

Vaishnavi,

A lot of working parents do keep their 6 month old baby in daycare. The key is to find a GOOD daycare center which is hygienic as well as providing care with love and attention needed in this tender age.
