hello all,
I am pregnant. i am not sure how many weeks along. My LMP was june 7th and I ovulated on 23rd june. I guess I am 5 1/2 week or something. previously I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant. I had my cramping (but no bleeding)on sat when I called my doc and she asked me to come for an U/s which I went today. To my disappointment they told that they could see the sac but not foetus. All my happiness were shattered the moment I heard that and she told me that it maybe due to late ovulation and conception or there r chances of blited ovum/ miscariage. She asked to go for a blood HCG test on wed and fri and see if it doubles. Anyone of u been in this situation, shed some words of confidence please. Thanks

Dear Wannabeparents,
Sorry to have not read your message on July 17th. This is mainly because you posted on different group. Diet and exercise is rarely that I access and I saw you post poped up and got confused and had to figure out where it exist.

Try to post on March board where you belong to, many other girls will help you even before me and may be they will have same experience.

About ultrasound:
If you don't have spotting or bleeding then it's OK. May be like your Dr. said due to late ovulation or slightly delayed implantation your fetus is not developed yet, by the way it's around 7th week when we can call developing embyro as fetus. Till week 7 you will call it a developing embryo.

Your embryo may be little tiny over the used probe in ultrasound and that's reason you could not see it. If you take another ultrasound in about 2 weeks, that's vaginal or pelvic one then you should be able to see fetus and may be able to hear heartbeat.

I know you and I don't want you to stress a lot. Stressing is absolutely wrong in particular for embryo that's developing and want to become fetus anytime. Keep relaxed and be positive throughout the pregnancy.

Abdominal cramp like PMS but not getting period is a good sign of pregnancy and you should not worry a lot on that part. That will go away from week 12 onward. Try to keep drinking lot of water, that helps a lot. Tylenol is safe absolutely still I would not recommend any medication at this stage.

Take care
Archie

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
