Name: Wannabparents

Hello, I am in my 6th week. I have period like cramp on and off. It looks like I am gonna get my periods. The cramps are not severe though and no spotting at all. Is this ok? When I called my nurse she told me that it is common during pregnancy and asked me to take tylenol if it is severe. I just want to make sure whether anyone of u have had such cramps during first stage of pregnancy. Archie or anyone can u clear my doubts? thanks in advance.....

hi wannabparents,
dont worry.in my early pregnancy i also faced backaches and spotting, that was a night mare,at that time i felt very tensed.doctor told me to use tylenol and heatpack and she also did u/s and pelvic test.u/s is for to confirm there is no ectopic pregnancy.sometimes because of prenatal tablets also we may face pains.i changed the tablets also.in ur case there is no spotting.so dont worry take tylenol and heatpack.if doctor feels necessary she may told u to do u/s everything.so dont worry be happy.take rest.while taking rest put pillows under ur feet.
ok
bye

Hi Wannabeparents,

Heartiest congratulations on your pregnancy.

It is very normal. Infact yesterday Archie wrote to one of messages the same way. This is a very common sign of pregnancy. There is absolutely nothing to worry. Archie suggested that I drink a lot of water. May be you should also do the same.

Cheers,
Meenu

Hi,
I experienced the same thing in early pregnancy. Do not worry everything is fine. Take tylenol only if is necessary. If you are able to put up with the pain, do not bother taking medicine. As long as there is no spotting, there is no need to worry.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Take care.
Love,
Ranju.

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
