Given that most... okay, many clebrity homes are broken, with divorces, extra-marital affairs and live-in relationships, it is no wonder their children turn out this way.

WHat you are implying is too generalsitic to be true. There are many clebrities who are loving and caring parents and their children grow up amidst the security of strong family bonds.

Of course, parents are to blame for their children' s excesses. We need to be firm with our children, no matter what. In the young days, their antics may seem cute, but the same cute adorable boy will then grow into a monster. Destroy the monster when it is still young. Teach your child the correct Indian values before it is too late.. I see too many Indian parents spoiling their children these days.

What monster are we talking about here? Children learn mainly by modelling - if any monster needs to be dealt with it is the one lurking within yourself. That is the reason why celebrity children grow up to be misfits - since they are modelling after their maladjusted parents.

Totally Agree
I completely agree with you Kamal, after all, celebrities in our country and even abroad I guess, are literally idolized but billions of people both young and old and how they and their family conducts themselves in front of the public sets an example for everyone to follow. And well behaved celebrity kids are a real treat! it goes to show how balanced our favourite celebr... - Preeta [View Message]
I´ m not so sure
Yaar, I think celebrities are also like people only, who are we to judge anyone? How can we say that celebrities help set examples, I believe that if we look up to our celebrities to set examples for us and our parenting skills then we have it all wrong. As gossip or interesting news, yes I would love to know that the Bachans took their new grandchild for a picnic in the p... - Bhushan [View Message]
Best Celebrity Moms
Has anyone ever taken a look at who the best Bollywood moms are? I would give my vote to Malaika Arora, I think she' s hot, she' s gorgeous, and not just that, she is a total family woman. I think she plays an important role in their son Arhaan' s life and she balances work and family really well. ... - Tina [View Message]
Dream Girl for me
Hema Mailini takes the cake for me all the way! I think they way she has brought of Esha and Ahana as such graceful young women, it really needs to be applauded. Hema Malini as a mom has been known to share a great bond with Esha and Ahana and kept them both safe from too much of the celebrity fluff. ... - Shrey [View Message]
Old is gold
Forget all the newbies. To me, Jaya Bachchan is by far the best celebrity mom Bollywood has even seen. I really feel like the way she has raised both her kids is the best way and I really look up to her as a mom. Abhishek and Shweta are both positive and bright young adults today because of her.... - Tanushree [View Message]
Celebrity Kids and Movies?
Do you think it' s fair for celebrities to have their kids follow their footsteps into films? I think it' s pretty unfair for the child more than anything else. if the celebrity parent has had a successful career the child is under that much more pressure to perform alike if not better. And i am sure that can' t have a very good psychological impact on the child?... - Mitali [View Message]
Whatever works
Of course, being a famous personality' s child, in the same field as the parent makes it all the more scary, and I am sure there are some psychological battles to overcome, but it' s not too much of a bad thing. Ultimately if the profession is the kids choice, he/she will have face the trials of their choices. ... - Roy [View Message]
