Is is really necessary to get the baby vaccinated for chicken pox. In Govt. hospital, it is not in their chart, but private doc advised us to go ahead with this. What should we do?

I guess it is...we vaccinated our daughter just after she turned one year..it is mandatory at all private dotors here in India..but it is a very costly vaccine...so maybe that is why government hospitals do not make it compulsory.
Hope this helps.

P.S. my daughter completed 15 months today..just gave her MMR & HIB vaccines this morning..these are also quite expensive.
