Due Date Club December 2002:does hair colour affect?

Hi, i had coloured my hair when i was in the U.S. last year, since then this year i have been using hair colour on & off. Recently i read that hair colouring should be avoided...i hope this doesnt affect the baby in any way. Does anyone has any information on this. Please let me know, this has really got me worrying.

Hi Monu,
I used to color my hair brown regularly till before I got pregnant. I asked the nurse when I got pregnant if hair color affects the baby an did some research. Noone knows that for a fact. However, my nurse advised me to keep away from it if possible. Since then I colored my hair black and am waiting to deliver. Once I deliver, then hair coloring definitely does not affect breast feeding.
So well, the answer is, not yet proved that hair color affects the baby. My hair dresser is also prognant and she continues to color her hair. Donot worry.
