Speech:Bilingual.... over enthu famillies!

Hi,
My daughter is 20 months old. we are in tokyo right now and my daughter is listening to hindi, marathi English and japenese. I speak marathi and my husand Hindi. I think she is doing great, tho she is a little better with marathi & english and recently picking up jap.
my problem is our families. i have no bias towrds any language and hope she becomes a multi-linguist. But our families (and you can guess which side!!) are a little overbearing on what language she should pick up first and fast.

how do the other bilingual couples here handle that? Sure could use some tips.

Let the child decide that.
We also have a bilingual (Bangali and Tamil) family. My sons (1.5 yrs old) still don't speak. But I would like to let them speak whatever language they feel like.
We have no right to take any decision on the children's behalf for something that is so natural.
I would suggest, let your kid pick up any of the languages as his/her \";mother tounge\";. We should talk to our kids in a language that communicates our unconditional love and support.

Speech/language delay - 2.3 yr old boy

Also, he doesn't understand slightly longer sentences, even when we speak slowly and enact it such as "we'll go out after we eat". Otherwise, he appears perfectly normal. Hi All,

My son is less than 4 and has been diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal. We are taking him for OT and ABA/speech therapy.

Meanwhile, I read about an Ayurvedic hospital called Kerala Samajam hospital in Shoranur. Has anyone gone there for treatment? Any reviews?

Hints for Nursing
Babies eat and eat and eat. Although nature has done a pretty good job of providing you and your baby with the right equipment, in the beginning it's almost guaranteed to be harder than you expected. From sore nipples to tough latch-ons, nursing can seem overwhelming.
