ius to use a shampoo called T-Gel. I am dandruff prone and this shampoo helps me. Not sure if you get it in India. If you knopw anyopne in US or Australia ask them to get it for you.

Ilive in US. I have also the same problem dandruff.I have very dry hair.Can I use T-gel. where should i get?or do un know any home remody?. please help.

try using a 1/4 cup of vinegar and 3/4 water once in three days b4 u shampoo, you will see a difference in your dandruff pattern, or stick to a sensible shampoo like IGORA ( SCHWARZKOPF ) anti dandruff shampoo till ur dandruff reduces NO CONDITIONER ON YOUR SCALP or styling product too, dont be hasty and give the treatement time to take its course say about 2 weeks for a initial start

Schwarskopf or any other market available anit dandruff shampooes, they arent meant for specific problems.
And dont use vinegar either, might damage your scalp if it has started to crack out already.
Use anti dandruff shampooes available with the pharmacisits, there are three types available, you have to go see the dermatologist to know which ones suit you.
After you use them, use a conditioner.
Coconut oild and lemon juice cannot get rid of Dandruff. If that was the case, all dermatologists would prescribe coconut oil and lemon.
IT is sheer stupidity to use home remedies when you dont know the cause of the problem, or dont know the problem itself.
dont oil your hair, that cause acne.
Maintain personal hygiene, change pillow covers every other day if possible.
Dont dye your hair, or use any Henna or such stupid products for a while.
Use mild shampooes like Johnsons baby shampoo in between anti dandruff shampooes.
Dont use any anti dandruff shampoo more than 2 times a week, it will cause more loss of hair.
Have some multi vitamins, have a healthy diet. Do not stress and reduce your caffeine intake.
IF your dandruff is very very severe, like some cases i have seen, then you might need anti fungal agents to eradicate dandruff.
I cannot prescribe any medications here because its illegal.
If needed i can suggest some good anti dandruff shampooes that are available with the pharmicists.

But foremost, i suggest you consult a dermatologist, because dandruff may lead to irreversible hair loss, and to prevent anymore, you need the advice of a good dermatologist.
And lastly, dont , for god sake, use any vinegar, its acidic, and it will not only damage your scalp, but also damage the hair roots, and might encourage the growth of dandruff.
