Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

My sisiter is adopting a 2 1/2 year old girl from India. Her first
language is Marathi.
I am looking for three things.
1) Marathi language cassettes for myself to learn basic Marathi
2) Child appropriate tapes to help maintain & support her connection to her cultural heritage.
3) A tutor or other contacts in this area to support us in maintaining the above connection.
(Area between Seattle, Wa, USA & Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Any suggestion you could give me would be appreciated.

My suggestion would be to contact any india organisation, and through them you can get to know maratharastrians living in that region. If you know any one working for Microsoft then you have found the treasure. Seattle or BC might have marathi mandal (organisation for maharatrians to celebrate their fetivals, share their culture ....)
