Due Date Club August 2008:Rectal Bleeding anyone?

Hey girls,

Didn' t really know whether to ask this here but I guess I should not delay... Am having blood in my stools, not always but once in a while... There is a lot of fresh red blood which is passed with my bowel movement and also when I feel a lot gassy... The catch here is that my bowel movement or stool is not hard at all... It' s really semi solid, then what could cause this bleeding??? Is anyone of you going through this???

I too had a rectal bleeding ! Reasons was excess gas and constipation. Doctor gave me laxatives and also told me to take foods rich in fibre and drink lots of water. Don' t worry start taking fibrous food and when ur doc comes let him know ur problem . Tke care.

Dear vini,

Oh good, but Just call your doctor office and leave a message that you had blood in your stool. If they are concerned, they will do any test if necessary during your next visit...so just inform them now....you will be relieved if you hear the same words from your doc/nurse isnt?

Hi vini,

blood - a drop or two during bowel movement is not a big concern....but if you get more.....check with your doctor....that is the best....Call your doctor office even though it is weekend, and speak with the nurse first.

do update us abt your visit too.

take care,
Jichi
