Hi there,
I' m in a strange situation. Would be happy to receive suggestions.My last menstruation cycle was on the 17 March. Again on the 24th, i noticed slight( about 2 drops ) of red blood after intercourse. This has never happened to me in the past. Though i was a little worried, preferred to wait and watch. Following day there was very small amount of pinkish discharge BUT on 26th i had very little brown dischrge( noticed it on tissue ) . Immediately i went in for a professional help from a OB-GYN. She inferred that it was due to hormonal imbalance / stress and has put me on Marvelon for 21 days. She decided on this without going in for a blood test...just a urine test to emilinate the possibility of pregnancy ...which was for sure negative.

Now my worry is can i TTC after this cycle? Will the hormonal balance be rectified by taking this pill and i can be on TTC soon after?? What are the pros n cons of this pill??

I asked the same Qs to the doc and she sounded quite rude and asked me to just take the pills. I' m planning to consult another doc but will be happy if i can hear from any experienced / specialists on the forum.

Rekha LuckyGem replied. Hi Rekha.I feel strange that doc not give u response when u ask abt med.Relax i tell u abt Marvelon.Marvelon is a low dose contraceptive pill. It contains ethinyl estradiol and desogestrol as active ingredients . These are synthetic versions of the naturally occurring female sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. it prevents ovulation ( that prevents release of egg from ovaries).it makes the cervical mucus thick and hence prevents sperm from entering the womb and fertilising the egg.It also makes the linning of the womb unfavourable for implantation off egg.This is not Harmful tablet.It just improve ur inner imbalance system ok and u can try for concieve after that.God Bless
