My friend' s daughter got admission in Sacred Heart School sector 26, Chandigarh. In the very first month, she was asked to sit on a damp and dirty cemented floor for a music class. The floor was full of ants. When she refused to sit down, the teacher slapped her mercilessly several times.

When my friend came to know about this in the afternoon, he immediatly returned back to school and reported the matter to the Principal. Principal however was cooperative and she warned the teacher of strict action.

They cash on their reputation and extract money from parents. Parents also try to run after these schools and make a beeline for the admissions, not recognising the low level of education and services provided by them.

Often about 60 students study in play classed managed by a single teacher. The rooms too are often equipped with a single fan.
