Nurseries and Schools:Aman Setu - a lovely Pune school
2009-08-20
Name: Leena Karia

My husband and I both went to very good mainstream Pune schools (St. Helena' s and Vincent' ) and were aware of the advantages and disadvantages of such schools.

I wanted my daughter to go a really good school where she gets enough attention from teachers, learns without fear, understands concepts (NO rote learning) and learns to respect the planet and ALL its inhabitants.

I was also very clear that I didn' t want her to go to an international school as it can often be elitist and I want my child to be in an inclusive environment.

I had such few choices in Pune and was really worried. Finally found out that the well known educationist Madhavi Kapur was starting her own school (Aman Setu) and I enrolled my daughter there at 3.5 yrs of age.

I am SO happy with Aman Setu and I wanted to share how it meets all my expectations of a good school.
I am posting this because I want to help other parents who may have gone through something similar.

Cheers :-)

Hi Leena

I' ve recently moved to Pune and am looking for a school for my daughter who' s almost 3. I read your positive comments about Aman Setu and would be very interested in enrolling her there, however I' m a little skeptical about the distance and the transportation. Where do you live and how does your daughter find the commute? Would greatly appreciate some more feedback from you on the school..
1. How many students per class?
2. Student-teacher ratio?
3. Annual fees?
4. Exam structure (I read that they follw ICSE after a particular class, till then is it grade based? what is the assessment system?)
thanks in advance

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
