Hi,
My boy si 5 mnths old .. waise he doesnt trouble at all during day & is a happy natured child (tuchwud) but at nites its a diff story.
He 1st of all needs to drink my milk to goto sleep .. cant sleep on own ... thne he wakes up every 1 or max 2 hrs needs just a little bit milk to go back to sleep. He wakes up total 3-4 times every nite & i am getting tired!
For past 3-4 days he has suddenly started to get up b/n 12-3 am & his eyes are closed but legs are raised in air .. then he puts them down with a force .. wakes up & starts again?! m worried & scared.
He also sleeps with his arms over his head & when he is raising his legs alos raises his arms holds his sheet over his face & refuses to let go .. all with eyes closed.
I have tried buring him, roking him ( and he sleeps in my godi) .. put back in his bed its the same story ..

Pls help

hi nidhi,
i can understand what u are going through. it's really tough. well i've a 5 1/2 month old son and before he also would only sleep in my lap. i would have to sing lorries for him all the time. but since past couple weeks i put him in his crib when i think he's sleepy. he cries for a while and then may be after 5-10 mins i go to him and pat him a little bit. and he goes to sleep.
and even if he wakes up in the middle of night, try not to feed him.coz then they start expecting the same everyday. it might be tough for few days, but i think eventually u'll find a solution.
my baby wakes up around 2 or 3 sometimes and i don't feed him at all.
he then again wakes up around 5 or 6
is when i feed him.

and may be have someone else help you to put him to sleep for couple days. coz when he's with u , he knows he'll get milk eventually. he can smell it.

i hope this helps.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
