I am currently in US. I am planning to settle in Bombay next year. Iam planning to open up a day care/play school in Bombay. Can any one point me to the website or email address where I can find all the necessary pre-requistes for opening up a day care? I would also like to know any US courses that can be used as pre-requisite in India.

U replied to my original message couple of moths ago. But I couldn't reply. I think u & me r on same boat. We r eventually settling down in bombay and want open a preschool/daycare there. I want to remind u that I am based in uk at the moment and i am a qualified preschool/nursery worker.
R u doing some research for bombay's playgroups. What r your plans. I would love to hear from u.Waiting for your reply

Hi Snehal,

I'm in the US too and have always been interested in doing Early Childhood education. I am doing my associate degree from a community college in my area and this is a very good place to start. I'm doing early childhood education (preschool). I intend to finish my associate degree and later acquire more credits to do my masters. The best things for you to do would be to take an appointment with somebody in a community college in your area and figure things out. There are certification and diploma courses as well which take lesser time than associate degree which is for two years. Let me know if you have more questions. I'll try my best.
