Hello everyone,
My baby's turning one in next month and we are planning on doing homam on 22nd of this month at temple.
My worry is what if I get my periods. As you all know this homam should be done on that day only as the birth star comes on that day.

My question is what should I do if I get my periods, a couple of days before the pooja. My date is around the 20th each month. If I get it on say 20th, Can I go to temple after taking head bath on the 22nd (which is 3rd day). Some say (including my MIL) it's ok, 3rd day after head(oil) bath you can go to temple and it shouldn't be a problem. But I personally haven't gone like that before. But I still didn't want to miss my baby's first yr. homam as well. I am confused.

PLEASE , please advice. Give me all your suggestions ASAP.

Thanks in advance richa replied. yes you can go to temple....listen this thing is been made by god..its just we people think it in this way...no need to worry about u can always go on third day of ur periods to temple.....after taking bath and wash ur hair..u not going to do any crime....always remember god has made us and he just want from us to spread love among our nearby....nothing else he wants and complaints for dd replied. you should eat lot of ripe papaya everyday, they say if you eat lot of papaya you will get your periods 1 week earlier. so try this method and see. But my problem is I am completely out of Birthcontrol pills for a long many months now and I am still feeding my baby and I cann't take any pills till I wean.

Do you have/know any home remedies which I can try to postpone atleast for few days?!

Pls. reply. Thanks so much suman replied. consult a gyn to postpone your period.i know personaly in my family who took pills to postpone thier period on these kind of occations.
