Hi All,

While I was browsing through the net to search for best schools in Pune, I came across this website and instantly said - wow! Great place for all the proud parents to share their blissful experience with their kids and knowledge about raising them to be responsible citizens of tomorrows World! So thank you for hosting this web-site :-) and greetings to all the proud parents out there!

I am a proud father of a genius son. He is just over a year now, and we (I and my wife) have started planning for our future. Therefore, we are doing groundwork to find the best schools (English medium/convent) in Pune. As everyone is getting unprecedented global exposure, these schools need to be at par with international standards we don’t want to compromise on quality of education. Moreover, we are planning to buy my first owned home in Pune and will plan it to be closer to his school.

Articles on the internet suggest St. Mary' s, Josephs, Lexicon...etc are the top schools. And I’ve browsed their sites to get some insight. This is going to be a big decision for us. Please help me in getting the right start for my son’s academics.

There were many schools in pune but you have to chose the school in which the education system will be fine and then you can join your kid in the school so can you share in which school you have joined your kid. Lohita replied. Hello father,
So you were proud to be great father for your son who is genius then you need to chose the best school for him to learn to give the best for his education i wish it would be better also if you share what you have done. Nilesh replied. Many pre-schools have come up in the nook and corner of pune. We need to be very careful about them. The children many a times are not treated well and since they cannot precisely narrate what has happened, the teachers take this as an opportunity to deceive the parents. One such pre-school is Genius kids in Sahakarnagar. I have had a very bad experince sending my child to this school. Just want to inform all parents to be careful. Proud Mom replied. After some more research (online), I discovered that there are a couple of new & fancy preschools & schools in Pune such as Mercedes Benz International, Vibygor etc. These schools harp on the international and innovative teaching techniques and advanced facilities (AC, Computers, Modern games etc). However, after reading a couple of reviews, I am confused. Indeed these schools are operating in Residential type of buildings with limited space and amenities and still charge a hefty amount. From some of the photos of their teaching staff - it appears as if they are very inexperienced (more like jobless people looking for temporary way to make money).

Compare this to reputed schools like Bishops, St. Mary' s, Abhinav etc I would guess that there will be huge difference in quality! However, the location of these schools might be a problem since I don' t have my own home in Pune yet and obviously apartments close to these schools are quite expensive.

Amit Mel replied. I' m searching for the right school too. My son is 2 years old and we' re looking for a school for him too. Initially, we wanted him to start off with Mercedes Benz (play school & primary) or Vibgyor (play-school) and then after primary move on to ICSE or CBSE since I' m not in favour of an IB curriculum in the long run.

I was thinking about Bishops, as it is a good school. It has schools in Camp (Boys), Kalyani Nagar (Co-Ed) and Undri (Co-Ed). My only worry is that my husband and I are both from CBSE. So, I' m not sure how good or not-so-good ICSE is, relative to CBSE.

I' ve googled for it, but the results are contradictory. So, anyone who can throw some light on this ?

For Proud Father: My personal experience is that Nyati is a good place to buy property as the rates are very good, and there is no black money involved... it' s all white (the way I prefer), and he gives really good value for money. Also, around Nyati you have Vibgyor, Delhi Public School and Bishops. If I' m not mistaken, most of the other good schools are towards Camp.
